I used to paint using oils years ago and although I loved the chunky strokes, I hated the mess. Oils just do not clean easily and they take FOREVER to dry. (Seriously, MONTHS.) I never considered acrylics because they were so fast drying and I like to mix custom colors, which you have to use a ton of paint at once to do if you are working on a larger work.

A friend recommended a retarder that makes acrylics not dry out so fast, so I am giving them a shot. So far I am extremely pleased with the results and plan on painting more in the near future. I will upload others as I complete them, and even plan to offer some for sale in the purchase section.
